The first book on Betsy McCall will identify and date Betsy McCall dolls. Through the 556 full color photos you will learn about the vintage examples of the 14" dolls by Ideal; the 8", 14", 20" and larger dolls by American Character. Also included are Betsy McCall dolls by Tomy, Rothschild, Horsman and other companies. This book covers the entire range of collectibles from Betsy's first introduction as a paper doll in the pages of McCall's magazine in 1951 to the most recent three-dimensional doll version designed by Robert Tonner. In addition, Betsy McCall accessories, furniture, games, patterns and much more are included. The characteristics of the dolls are discussed and hundreds of Betsy's outfits and accessories are identified. Articles and references to the Betsy McCall dolls will aid researchers and collectors alike.

Betsy McCall - A Collector's Guide is available below. It is now out of print but I have a few copies left. I will be happy to sign it upon request.

Betsy McCall – A Collector’s Guide was published in December 1999. By March of 2002 all 8,000 copies had been sold and it was officially out of print.
An updated, revised edition was in the works but my publisher, Hobby House Press, went out of business and the original plates were destroyed.
I have just a few copies of my original book left. They are in mint, unused condition and are smoke-free.
I will autograph it upon request. All proceeds from my book go towards our donkey rescue for the care and feeding of our longears.
