Buddy True Heart

Buddy True Heart

In early February we found this dog chained alongside an abandoned house. He was so far back it is amazing that we even heard him bark, especially with the marshmallow effect of the snow. He had been there since the snow began, without food, water or shelter for at least 2 weeks and was buried behind over 6 feet of snow. It took us 10 hours to burrow thru the snow to him. A log had fallen on his chain and he was unable to move. It was a terrible sight and he was starved. He has put back on most of his weight and is a very happy boy. He was a quick learner, walking on a leash, sitting and understanding what we wanted of him. He was amazed at the donkeys and loves going up to visit them every morning. We named him Buddy True Heart and he lives up to his name every day in so many ways.

For all he has been through, Buddy is a sweet and gentle dog who is eager to learn. He can now heel and sit and takes food gently from my hand. His collar was so tight when we found him that he could barely swallow. He had probably been on that chain his entire life. Now he is warm and dry, with a full tummy and his very own bed.

We are looking for the perfect home for Buddy - this very special dog deserved a very special home - one where he will be loved and cherished. If you are looking for a large bundle of love, Buddy will fit right in. He would be best as an only dog. Buddy is neutered and approx 5 yrs old.
